Cotton Bayou House

I've only visited for a day, not stayed overnight, but the docks looked great and well kept, with good spots for fishing and launching a boat. The condo I saw was amazingly clean and cared for, and I was impressed by the facilities. It's not the newest place, but I saw lots of positives and few drawbacks. Experiences may vary, but that's what I saw, and I'd suggest looking into it for a stay in Orange Beach. I'll share more pictures later. Update: I added images from a recent visit.

The location was really good, the pool was nice, and there was plenty of fishing from the docks. We had no noise issues. The condo itself wasn't bad, but needed a lot of little maintenance jobs. The oven handle was missing a screw, the toilet paper holder needed its middle piece and a more secure fitting, the toaster had just one push-down knob, and the bathroom handle was nearly falling off. Maintenance happened to come by to add a filter, so we showed them the oven and door handle problems and they fixed those. A monthly walkthrough to catch these things would help. The beds weren't especially good, and none of us had a great night's sleep, though we slept okay. The floors needed a better cleaning: our feet got black with dirt when we walked barefoot. The rest of the condo was fine. A decent stay, but it could be much better if these small details were handled.

Barry, the on-site manager, was kind and helpful, and the boat dock was very convenient for us. We enjoyed staying at Cotton Bayou last month. Our unit could use a few touch-ups, but the price, location, and amenities worked well for us.

The condo manager was excellent, and the pool was nice. Our rooms were huge, and we could walk straight across to public cotton bayou beach. It's right in the middle of everything in orange beach.
