Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orange Beach

A real highlight was the private guest access to the beach. The staff were also terrific, especially at the front desk, where everyone we met was friendly and went out of their way to help. Our room was spotless and comfortable after time on the coast, and we enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning. The location made it easy to reach good restaurants and shops. Great service and atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back soon!

A great spot for snowbirds. The staff are warm and caring, and really do their best to make you feel at home. It’s clean and comfortable, with a big breakfast bar and a great location. I highly recommend it.

We drove 14 hours for this trip and were treated with complete disregard. Friends managed to find other lodging for us, but not everyone has that option. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I’ll also be sending a formal complaint to corporate. At booking, nobody told us the hotel was in the middle of a major renovation. It was a mess. There were loose nails in the parking area by the entrance, a serious hazard that staff didn’t address until I stepped in. Our room had no hot water, the phone didn’t work, and maintenance was delayed without any clear response time. I tried to cancel because of these problems and was promised a refund within 7 days. That time has passed, and both the room charge and $60 security deposit are still pending. Management wouldn’t speak to me despite multiple attempts. My calls were screened, and I was never allowed to talk directly to the manager. I was told to contact my bank, but my bank says the merchant is holding the funds. This showed a lack of safety, transparency, and customer service.

The shower barely got warm, and the second room’s service phone didn’t work. We had to change rooms because the refrigerator was broken, with a carton of warm milk left inside. The ice machine only worked on floors 1 and 2 of the five floors. Basic Wi-Fi couldn’t even play a YouTube video, so you’re pushed toward the $6 per day internet plan. Worst hotel stay I’ve had at this price. I won’t use marriott brands again.
