Palms 304 3rd Floor 3 BR 3 BA Corner-unit

The Palms was a great first stay for us, and we couldn’t have picked a better condo. The owners were really nice and just a call away if we needed anything. I left a very special item behind, but when I contacted them, they got in touch with the cleaning service and had it mailed back within a few days. The indoor and outdoor pools were great, too, and the beach is just steps away.

The Palms UNIT 115 has a gnat problem, and anyone renting it should know. There were hundreds of tiny black gnats flying in every room and all over the surfaces. We checked in after business hours, and after a long call, the service handling their calls couldn’t help. We had to vacuum up the flying gnats ourselves just so we could sleep there. We asked to move, but they said there were no other units available. Their own website showed that wasn’t true. Maintenance came the next afternoon and tried a few things. It reduced the gnats a little, but they kept coming back and got worse each day. We vacuumed up live gnats again. The maintenance team said this unit is known to have the problem, and we found a disgusting gnat trap, full of gnats, on the kitchen counter. We even spent our own $ to have DoorDash deliver more traps. After paying a few thousand dollars for this stay and putting up with all that, I think we’re owed some compensation. Given how friendly the office staff were, I don’t think that’ll happen. Just so people know, one bathroom had no hot water and they didn’t fix it. The tub wouldn’t drain, but they did fix that. The extra blankets in the closets had stains and smelled, so they need washing. There were a few good things. The condo was decorated so cute and clean overall, the master shower was great, the AC worked well, parking was plentiful, and the beds were comfortable. I hope this helps future renters decide, since the property management company won’t post negative reviews about this unit.

Our end unit had plenty of balcony space overlooking the beach, and the condo had room for six people. There were indoor and outdoor pools on the property. We had a great family visit. The condo had basic cooking items, and we managed okay.
