The amenities were great and it’s an awesome place. Parking comes with only two vehicle passes, though an extra one may be available if capacity allows. Otherwise, overflow parking is about five miles away, with no shuttle to the condo. Given the condo and pass costs, shuttle service would have been great.

We stayed in 505 for my grandson’s birthday, 6/12-6-14, and had an amazing trip. He loves water and especially enjoyed the kiddy area, which gave us a chance to catch our breath too. The place was very clean, spacious, and had plenty of everything. We’ll definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay and it was very nice, but the glass out front really needs to be fixed as a top priority. It gives the place a bit of a cheap trailer park vibe.

We paid full price, then got a discount afterward because so many things were out of order. Apparently we were notified, but the information was buried in a fine print email that felt like a scavenger hunt. There was still no refund. We also paid a cleaning fee and $55 a night for parking, while the amenities weren’t functioning. At Phoenix V Room 515, the pool looked swampy, the splash pad was closed, and the outdoor area was barricaded. We came for a resort stay and found the facilities we wanted closed. The staff we spoke with all seemed as frustrated as we were, like they’d given up. Save your money, sanity and your kids’ expectations. This felt like ordering steak and getting a napkin with a coupon for another napkin. More a lesson in reading fine print than a vacation.

We had a good view and paid a pretty good price, so I’m giving Phoenix V two stars, generously. I’ve stayed at other Phoenix properties, and this one was by far the worst. We were in Unit 310 with my 71-year-old parents, including my handicapped mother. At arrival, they found out parking cost an unexpected extra $55. Even if it’s in the rental ad, it feels ridiculous to nickel and dime guests instead of including it in the stay price. And they say handicap spaces aren’t guaranteed, which is unacceptable after charging us to use their lot. The room was dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned between guests. The sheets had been changed, and that seemed to be about it. There was feces smeared on the bathroom cabinet, lots of mold in the kitchen cabinets where food containers and crock pots were stored, and a huge amount of hair on the furniture and floors that wasn’t ours. We weren’t going to cook around that mold. The restaurant listed as being here was closed, and it shouldn’t be advertised if it’s not in use. It would’ve helped my parents avoid being loaded in and out of the car every day, but without usable handicap parking, we had to drive around to pick my mom up. Fun in the heat. You may need to bring or buy basics like toilet paper and garbage bags. These should be provided, and it’s frustrating to have to run to Publix for toilet paper on vacation. They even charge for ice. We told guest services at checkout about the mold and broken kitchen cabinets. The person seemed surprised but didn’t try to make things right. She was super nice at the front desk, though. If you can overlook all that, it may be a good stay for the price. We probably won’t return to Phoenix V, especially because of the parking. The HOA should be ashamed: it’s obvious the parking money hasn’t improved the situation. They could spend it on toilet paper, mold remediation or fixing the pool cracks. I’ll gladly update this review if someone there contacts me. Thanks!
