We really wish we’d spent our $8,000 somewhere else. Never again. The people were rude, pushing past and bumping into us without even saying excuse me. The place itself is nice, but far too expensive for what you get. Breakfast was disappointing: scrambled eggs, undercooked sausage, and tacos or baked beans. Even two-star motels serve better breakfasts. The alcoholic drinks were disgusting, so we ate there only once. Employees parked in our reserved spot and disrupted our plans. People above us soaked our balcony while my husband was cooking dinner and ruined our food, and the front desk didn’t say anything about it. Someone came into our room every day to check the hot tub. That was good, but also disturbing. Everywhere else we’ve stayed returned the deposit when we left, but this place didn’t.

The breakfast was just okay, but we had no other negatives to list. We’ve been to Orange Beach several times, and after our first stay at Turquoise we were impressed. There’s plenty to do on site whether it rains or shines, and it’s clean. All the staff were very helpful. We’d recommend it with or without kids. Parking was easy and gated. There are open pools, a lazy river, water slide, indoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, and steam saunas in both towers, plus a nice gym in each. The beach access was convenient. We also enjoyed the on-site bar and grill, tennis and pickleball courts, poolside live music every day, the snow cone bar, and daily kids’ activities. The balconies have outstanding views, built-in grills, and hot tubs.

Our room was spacious, clean, and made for a really nice getaway. Turquoise Place has great rooms, is right on the Gulf, and offers so much at the resort. The lobby staff weren’t always very nice, but all the other workers we met were wonderful.

We loved every minute at Turquoise Place and can’t wait to return. It’s our favorite OBA resort, and I’d go any time of year. The indoor pools are great when the weather isn’t cooperating. The beach is just steps away, and the huge rooms work really well for families, with enough space for everyone to spread out. There are fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living areas, and balconies with stunning views. It’s clear the place was designed with convenience and family fun in mind.
