The room was so cramped that moving around was difficult, and the shower was too tiny to move in. There was no heat or heater. The place could be lovely with better owners, but someone also used the card that paid for our room to order more than $400 in delivered food.

I've been here a year, and it's been a safe haven while I've dealt with some tough changes in life. The property is beautiful. The owner has been incredibly kind, and the onsite manager has always made us feel like family.

The best part of the stay was getting to spend Valentine's week with my man, but that came after I cleaned the room myself. It was filthy when I arrived, so I wiped down the fan, walls, bathroom, and everything else. The toilet seat was broken and gross, and the bathroom was horrendous. I even cleaned the rim and base of the toilet. I have asthma, and after telling Stacy the room was dirty, I said we'd be okay because I had cleaned it. I took the bedding off because I didn't want to sleep on those sheets. I was left with just one towel and one washcloth. I paid for a room, not a hellhole, and I don't know what the $50 deposit was for. When I asked Stacy for it back, she said it was non-refundable, even though I had cleaned the room. I believe I'm owed some money. I had already paid and just wanted a nice Valentine's stay, so I put up with it. I sent Stacy pictures hoping she'd be a good host, but when I told her how dirty the room was, all she said was thanks for letting her know. I kept getting texts about things I wasn't doing, like smoking cigarettes, loud children, and barking dogs. They went on and on. I also asked for the Wi-Fi codes and never got them. There were homeless people sleeping in the lobby, which was pretty creepy. I let Stacy know about the creepy guy there too. This place is also listed as Arabella inn in Orange City, and I'll share my post there as well. The grounds and rooms are filthy, and they're not attentive to the needs of people paying to stay there. It feels like a den for drug addicts and people in need, and money seems to be all Stacy cares about. This could be a cool place if they gave it some love and attention and respected the people who came for a Valentine's stay. Good luck if you book here. I hope I can add the pictures, but it turns out pictures can't be added.

The mobile portal made everything convenient, and the new management has been great to deal with and quick to respond. The property is very clean, with a farmers market nearby that's a nice extra. It's an old place, from 1876, lol, but they've done a good job making it safe and comfortable and turning it around.

The bathroom ceiling collapsed, but they wouldn't move me to another room. I also found poop stains on the sheet, and the AC stopped working. I got no response from the owner. She even accused me of owing for another stay, though I checked my bank account and know I paid. She wouldn't answer me or ask if I was okay. The living conditions felt unsafe and unhealthy, and I'm considering talking to a lawyer. Her name is Stacy, and she's one of the rudest people I've met. I wish I could post pictures, because this was horrific.
