Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orange City - Deltona by IHG

Before our cruise, we stayed one night and found check-in and checkout effortless. The rooms were clean and spacious, as were the bathrooms, and parking was plentiful. The hotel also had a good breakfast and nice amenities, including a pool, hot tub, and fitness room. The gym was fully equipped, more than most hotels, and my kids loved the pool and hot tub. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I saw people regularly cleaning to keep everything in good shape. I'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

Xavier at the front desk made the stay feel smooth and stress-free. He greeted me warmly, was professional and genuinely helpful, checked me in quickly, patiently answered every question, and made sure I had what I needed. He strikes a great balance between friendliness and professionalism. Employees like him are why people return, and Holiday Inn is lucky to have him. My stay was great, and I'd highly recommend this location thanks to Xavier's service.

Breakfast was included and had a good spread: scrambled eggs, omelets, sausages, cinnamon rolls, cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, juices, and more. Since the hotel was busy, finding a seat between 8:30 and 9:30 could be difficult. Our suite had a larger room with a couch, small desk, and chair. The room itself was adequate, typical Holiday Inn Express, and the bathroom was larger, with a nice shower and mirror. The heat didn't work, and the shower handle pulled right off the wall.

We didn't spend much time in our nice room, but it was disappointing that the hot tub wasn't working and the pool wasn't heated during our visit. I was surprised there was no sign or mention of the problem. When we asked at the front desk, we found out repairs were underway. That's a bummer when those features are one of the main reasons you booked. Breakfast was standard for a Holiday Inn, like what we've had at other locations. The person looking after the area seemed very busy cleaning everything, even the chair legs, maybe a little OCD, but who doesn't like a clean eating area? I appreciated it. We had a nice visit.
