The place feels old, and the quick, cheap renovation really shows. Someone else called it “lipstick on a pig,” and that fits. The room had worn furniture, hair in the shower, and stains on the supposedly new carpet and some fixtures. Even the new shower stall still has old hardware, so corners seem to have been cut. At check-in, the agent was unwelcoming and unkind. She also refused to honor my elite benefits, saying there was an additional charge to receive them. The hotel advertises itself as newly renovated, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here, even with so few Marriott options nearby. You’d be better off elsewhere.

We’ve stayed here before, and I’d be happy to come back. It’s an average Marriott, nothing special, but neither especially good nor bad. The hotel seems reasonably new, though I’m not sure, and our room didn’t feel too dated. It was in decent shape.

It was really quiet, even though it’s near the highway and airport. There are plenty of places to eat close by, too. The hotel was clean and convenient, and the staff were wonderful. There’s no hot tub, and breakfast isn’t included.

After our long drive, Katy at the front desk got us checked in quickly and was so friendly and professional. The housekeeper, an older woman who I believe was also named (Katy), was just as sweet. Those two are why my boyfriend and I will choose this hotel when we travel in the area again. Thank you, ladies!

I was stuck staying here for work, and it was a complete disaster. First there was a cockroach in the bathroom, then I found a beetle in the bed in room 102. That’s two bugs in the bed, which is a New Yorker’s ultimate horror. The AC stopped working, and when I asked to move rooms, they offered me a fan. When I asked if they were kidding, the woman at the desk was rude. Bon Voyage to the garbage hotel that is the Mariott Courtyard. The whole operation was pathetic. “Bon Voy” is a stupid slogan for a stupid chain that makes HoJo and Motel 6 seem like the Ritz Carlton. Ciao, Courtyard by Mariott Newburgh Stewart Airport. Your pathetic operation will be taxiing on the runway forever!
