We rested comfortably enough, but there wasn’t much to get excited about. The room was worn from use, and the elevator and walls need repairs or touch-ups. The evening desk staff were very friendly when we arrived. Breakfast was okay, with a decent hot-food selection, and ran from 6:30-9:30 am. They closed promptly at 9:30. The man working the breakfast area had music playing from his pocket and took a smoke break just outside the back door while we ate. No big deal, though a couple of buffet items needed refilling and weren’t replaced before closing. If you need a place to stay, this HIE will do.

We had a one-bedroom suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed, and it worked well for our family. There’s a door to separate the queen beds from the rest of the room, with a TV in each area. The room was spotless, with comfortable beds and four pillows each. Our youngest found the sofa bed comfy, too. There’s a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and plenty of cupboards for storage. We slept through breakfast, though other reviews say it’s great. We’ll definitely stay again.

Even with the Orangeburg location being remodeled, we had a great stay. Sasha was amazing, such a lovely person, and made sure we got the best room. We always stay at Holiday Express when we travel. Thank you, The Reitmans.

A great alternative to the congestion in Columbia. The place was clean, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the breakfast was the best I’ve seen for this type of hotel. The staff were friendly. I gave it four stars because they’re doing some renovations, though they weren’t intrusive at all.

Everything we needed was close by, including gas stations within walking distance, Cracker barrel Restaurants across the street, and other places to eat on the same road. We had a great room with the best AC I’ve ever experienced. It was so cool and comfortable I could’ve stayed there forever. The hot breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the hotel is close to the interstate. The people were very friendly. The front desk ladies were busy because of our nearby convention, but handled it like professionals. I’ll definitely stay there again in March 2026. Five stars across the board!
