Lake Marion Resort and Marina

The lake views are incredible, and the cabins are a good size for a family of 4-6, with the lake right there for fishing. This was my first trip alone with my kids since my husband passed away 3 years ago, and Mrs. Debbie and her staff made sure we had what we needed and a great time. I train people in customer service, and you can’t teach this kind of hospitality. They’re a real example of southern hospitality, and all went above and beyond. I can’t thank them enough. The cabins had everything we needed, and the fish cleaning station was a great touch. We felt at home there, not out of place. For our first visit to lake marion, I think we picked a great spot. The cabin was amazing, the office lady was really sweet, and everyone was friendly. We had a great time and are already planning another trip.

These are rustic cabins, but ours was clean, comfortable, and fairly quiet. We stayed Sunday through Thursday, about an hour northwest of Charleston. Our only gripe was that the mattresses were softer and plusher than we like, though they seemed fairly new. That’s just our preference. We loved the place.

We rented a pontoon boat and spent a full day out on the lake. My girlfriend and I had the best time this past weekend. Our cabin was perfectly clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We’ll stay here whenever we’re back at Lake Marion.
