Bay Pointe Inn

The grill was so good we ate there every night, and the pool was a great way for the kids to unwind. We came in winter and the place felt like a little winter wonderland, which added a lot of charm. Traveling with two children, including a toddler, we really appreciated how family-friendly it felt. The hotel was clean and cozy, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Most of all, the staff stood out. You can tell they enjoy their work and care about guests. We felt relaxed and well looked after, and we’ll definitely return to Bay Pointe Hotel.

The wooded setting, private cottages, and modern reception space made our wedding day feel special. We loved that the venue’s sleek, clean design was easy to customize to our style. The food was great, the dessert bar was a crowd favorite, and there were fantastic options for the bar package. We’d attended a wedding at Bay Pointe about a year before our engagement and immediately fell for the venue. When it was our turn, we knew we wanted to celebrate there. We held our wedding at the Woods, though the lake views are spectacular too. Everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out.

We’re older and had assumed BayPointe might be too big for the smaller wedding venue we wanted. Reaching out was a pleasant surprise: they replied the same day, and planning was extremely easy, with every detail covered. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for a wedding venue, and the staff went out of their way to treat us like royalty. My new husband and I held our wedding there this past weekend. We highly recommend BayPointe, and after such a good experience, we’ll visit the restaurant and hotel again soon.

Dinner was the one letdown. It felt more like upscale fast food, and breakfast was about what you’d get at a roadside motel, so the dining options didn’t match the inn’s quality and atmosphere. The tea selection was excellent, though, with high-quality brands. We had a lovely night at this charming inn, beautifully situated on the shores of Gun Lake. I highly recommend the “Love Package” for couples. Our room was spacious, clean, and romantic, with a gorgeous lake view. That food disappointment is the only reason I’m not giving five stars.
