Quality Inn Vicksburg

They canceled my reservation just half an hour before I arrived, despite my booking months earlier. I had to argue with the third-party booking service to get it sorted out. In the room, the toilet was broken, there was visible mold on the walls, and bugs were inside the lamps. The toiletries had already been used, there was no toilet paper, and when I asked for extra blankets, I was told they had none. The advertised hot breakfast turned out to be bread and yogurt. One employee was especially loud and rude, even cursing at guests who asked for basic help like moving chairs in the breakfast area. Everything felt dirty or broken, and the staff came across as unprofessional. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The place seemed poorly managed and unsafe, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I booked the wrong room online by mistake, a handicapped room, and the stay went downhill from there. I had to deal with the pests myself: two crickets, one or two roaches, and three bugs I couldn’t identify. After spraying the bed with Lysol, I slept in my clothes. At 5:15 in the morning I got up, only to find there was just decaf coffee in the room. When I went to the office for breakfast at 6:35, it was closed and nobody was there. Another man and a woman were waiting at the front door too. The man said he couldn’t stay at this location last time and wouldn’t stay here when he has to return. They charged $50 to my CHOICE HOTEL CREDIT CARD. I’m leaving the room in better shape than I found it, but I won’t stay here on my way back. Quality Inns just aren’t worth it.

We were moved twice and then gave up and left. Every room we saw had a filthy desk and dresser. Some had dried smears, as if someone had used a dirty rag, while others clearly hadn’t been wiped at all. At least three of the six toilets were dirty, with hair and spots of urine, feces, and blood. Several rooms smelled awful, and even the lobby tables were grimy. In the first pair of rooms, both tubs had hair, and one had a used bathmat and soap. In the next pair, one toilet had urine and pubic hair on it, and the sink area was wet and dirty; the other room smelled like someone had just smoked. In the last pair, one had sticky stuff all over the desk and TV stand, while the other stank and had a freezer with three inches of crust and old food in the fridge. The desk clerk wasn’t especially pleasant or unpleasant, but he did try to help us, which I appreciated. Housekeeping needs to be replaced. I wish I’d taken more pictures, but didn’t think of it until the final room. This was a last-minute, cheap stop on a long drive, booked as one of the mystery options on Priceline for 10/18/25. The reviews seemed okay for the price, but don’t make the same mistake I did.

We’re travelers from the UK. The reception lady was especially friendly and had a good sense of humor. Our room was a decent size, and she came up to fix the TV when it didn’t work at first. The phone cable had been cut, though, and we cleaned something off the wall with our own cleaning product. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows should be replaced. We got there at 9:10 a.m. and there was no butter left for toast, only decaf coffee. The pool looked clean as we walked by, and the gym looked alright.
