Ephrata Inn Motel

I'm not going into detail. It was a dump, dirty and then dirtier still. There was no hot water at the bathroom sink, and nobody there seemed to care about the rest either.

Edit in response to the owner: You called me back, yelled at me, and told me to retract my review. That's not happening. The office door stays locked, and they don't open it. When someone finally did, I asked to book a room, but a woman with very heavy makeup and bangles shut the door in my face. I guess they don't want customers. They left me and my young child standing outside in the cold. We went elsewhere and found a hotel that felt welcoming and safe.

They were rude as hell. I asked for two extra towels because we walked into the room and our feet turned black, and he assumed we had extra people staying with us. Then he said no one could be on the property past 8pm, even though it was already 8:55. I asked him to show me where that rule was posted. If he'd told us at check-in, I would have had my visitors, who live in Ephrata, leave by 8pm. The owner got even ruder after he realized he was wrong. He'd come over to bring the towels as my visitors were leaving, so he saw them go at the same time. He handed me the towels rudely, then walked back and forth in the parking lot and kept looking up at our room. I'll never stay here again. He's a creep. I'll be following up with the BBB and the city of ephrata. Women of color, think twice.

It's a well-priced motel with no frills, which was all I needed. The place was clean and comfortable, and close to everything in the area. The manager was outstanding, easy to reach and checking on things every day. I don't get that kind of service at high-end places.
