Comfort Inn East Oregon - Toledo

The woman people keep mentioning in the reviews was actually really nice to my husband and me. I expected a mean lady, but she was accommodating and funny. The room looked nice, and having a fridge and microwave was handy. Still, I wouldn’t return. It smelled really funky, the bed made me itchy, and I spotted a huge centipede on the wall, which makes me think there could be other pests. They need to renovate and replace the carpets.

Breakfast was decent, with fresh fruit, though the eating area was very small. The staff seemed accommodating, and some people in our group said their rooms were fine. Maybe ours just hadn’t been remodeled yet. The neighborhood wasn’t very appealing, with lots of abandoned properties nearby. The pool was closed during the summer heat. On the second floor, the hallway reeked of smoke, and our room had a disgusting smell. The curtains were torn and messy, the bathtub curtain rod was coming loose from the wall, and there was lots of mold beneath the tub faucet. I’d never stay there again.

I’ll go back to Comfort Inn. My room was clean, there were plenty of parking spaces, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The staff were helpful. One of the men at the desk walked me to my room and carried my things, and the housekeeper was kind when I asked for extra towels.

We had a problem involving bed bugs in 8 rooms. I know any hotel can have them, but other rooms also had dead roaches and blood on the walls. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
