APM Inn & Suites

This was our second visit, under my fiance's name, Anthony, and it was okay. The front desk staff were very nice and found us a room close to what we wanted. The room was nice and cleaner than others. We were told the pool would open in a couple of days, but two weeks later it still wasn’t open. No big deal, though we’d really have liked a swim. The location wasn’t great, right by the highway/road with lots of loud cars passing. That’s not their fault, just mentioning it. We’d probably come back if we need to.

I was given three rooms on the same floor, and every one had a problem. The first hadn’t been cleaned, and the employee assigned to clean it had a nasty attitude. The front desk employee seemed clueless. The second room had ants. I called to ask for bug spray, and was told maintenance would come. The maintenance guy seemed clueless too. I ran into him doing his weekly pest control in the hallway, which clearly wasn’t controlling the bugs. The third room was infested as well. The staff were rude, and the bugs made the place especially undesirable with a baby. The rooms are decently decorated, but this is the nastiest place I’ve stayed. I’ll never stay here again. Please don’t waste your money, make reservations elsewhere.

I wouldn’t come back, no matter how cheap the room is. The lobby and our room were extremely dirty, and several basics were missing. There was no trash can, hangers, or hairdryer. For our first night, there were only two towels and no washcloths for three guests. We asked for more, but didn’t get them until the next night. There was no room service during our three-night stay. The bathroom had dead insects and hair when we arrived. The tub was missing its molding, leaving a view through to the subfloor. The room had been freshly painted, which was nice, but they hadn’t covered the new flooring and it was splattered with paint. The smoke detector hung from the wall by its wires. At first there was no TV remote. When one was brought up, we were told, “we don’t know how to program them,” and it didn’t work. The water never got more than lukewarm. The comforters on the double beds were twin-sized and didn’t cover two people sharing a bed.

We had a great outside view from room 210, including the big pool. Checkout at 11:00 was a plus for me, since I’m not a morning person and almost everywhere else is 10:00. The bed was so soft and quite large, and the sheets looked brand spanking new. It was VERY clean. The bathroom is huge compared to almost all the others I’ve seen, and pets are allowed. I can’t think of how this place could be much better. I’m surprised it isn’t more popular and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel.
