Baymont by Wyndham Orlando Downtown

I’m glad I used points, because I’d have been pretty angry if I’d paid out of pocket. The hotel was near mostly car dealerships, with little within walking distance and food a bit far if you aren’t driving. Calling this area downtown seems like a stretch. The room looked converted from an old motel and smelled of cigarettes despite being non-smoking. The guy who checked us in was extremely friendly, the only good part of the stay. The person at checkout seemed not to care at all. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut fully, the walls were stained, and the shower had soap scum and a curtain with black spots. I have photos and videos. The beds were uncomfortable, and I had back and shoulder pain the next day. I would never stay here again.

The front desk clerk Robbie was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was nice for a reasonable price. I recommend it.

The receptionist was the one bright spot, but this was the worst place I’ve stayed. We waited four hours for water from the faucet, so after a long trip we couldn’t even shower. The room smelled awful, and the odor was still there two days later. Housekeeping was poor too. I found hair all over the place as soon as we arrived. People also kept walking around outside our door all day, which felt suspicious. The TV remote didn’t work, and the restroom door wouldn’t close properly, so you could hear everything. I don’t know how this hotel has a 4.3-star Google Maps rating. Please find somewhere better.

Robby at the front desk was welcoming, efficient, very nice, and hardworking. The rooms were clean, and I enjoy my stay whenever I come. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
