Extended Stay America Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The convenient Orlando location was one bright spot, but my family and I left feeling unwelcome. I stayed in Rooms 213 and 214. The room was not clean enough, with dark stains visible on the furniture and elsewhere, the bedding did not look properly cleaned, and the shower pressure was very weak. Breakfast was mostly packaged muffins and a few grab-and-go items, so we paid for breakfast elsewhere, an unexpected expense. At check-in, I was first told to retrieve two IDs, so I went back out into the rain. When I returned, I was told IDs for everyone were needed. I provided them, but the exchange still felt confrontational. Later, my child made a little noise in the lobby. The front desk staff brought up calling the police several times to my wife and again to me, even though no one was being aggressive or disruptive. It felt intimidating and unnecessary. I also saw the guest before me get information about amenities and breakfast, but no one gave me similar details. The service, cleanliness, and overall stay were very disappointing, and I can't recommend this property.

The staff have made our stay enjoyable, and the location feels quiet and safe. My kids and I arrived last Saturday. Our first room had a musky odor that concerned me because one of my sons has asthma and allergies. The manager understood and didn't charge us for that night. We moved again after finding bathroom repairs were needed in the second room, then settled into a much better third room. Maintenance also fixed a small stove problem the same day. Management, front desk, and housekeeping have all been friendly and accommodating. We like the spacious rooms, pool, and complimentary grab-and-go breakfast. The dressers, nightstands, and coffee table could use updating, but that's a small downside. We had a rocky start, yet the comfort and amenities have worked well for us. 😇

I had to check out early for the first time ever. The website gave a false impression, and the place smelled awful, like cigarette smoke and mildew, with an even stronger odor in the room. The free breakfast was a small muffin and coffee. The price is fair, but the stay was subpar. If a somewhat low rate is all that matters and you don't mind an unsanitary hotel, this may suit you. Looking for value? Run!

The rate was decent, and there are other hotels nearby for about the same price that are probably better. I was optimistic after seeing all the positive reviews, but this was the smelliest, dirtiest hotel I've stayed in. On the way to our room we passed several bad odors, including weed and something rotten. Our room smelled like pet urine. I went down to ask for another room and was offered Febreze. Since it was so late, I was too tired to argue; we slept there and left by 9 a.m. The front desk clerk was nice enough, though not especially friendly or accommodating. We checked in at 3 a.m. after flight delays, so I'll give them some grace. The outlet by the vanity didn't work either, so I couldn't use my hair dryer. I'm glad I hadn't booked the whole weekend. I wish I could leave a better review, but I'm being honest.
