The room felt humid and wasn’t very comfortable, but as a last-minute booking in a pretty good location, it served its purpose. I booked this one the same way we stayed, so some parts of my criticism may have been related to that. It didn’t seem fully ready for a guest. The bins had all been put away, the room didn’t cool well even with the A/C set to 68, and the bathroom extractor was caked in visible dust and lint behind its thin cover. Worst of all, there were several small roaches in the bathroom and kitchenette. Staff were barely around during my stay, and the phone in the room didn’t work. New management seems to be taking the issues seriously, though, since they called days after I left to ask about them. I believe they can make this place great.

My parents booked an 8-day stay, but they’ll only be there for 3 days because they need to leave tomorrow to help my very ill sister. I’ve been trying for nearly two days to change the reservation dates. We’ve already paid, but no one answers or helps, and they refuse to cancel or change the booking. I want a refund for the days they won’t stay. If they don’t issue one, I’ll pursue my legal rights. The hotel is very old and dilapidated inside, even though it looks beautiful from outside. It leaves a lot to be desired, and the customer service is abysmal. They show no regard for guests. Next time I’ll pay more to stay somewhere better. This has been a terrible experience.

We were two people traveling with our 15-pound dog. After reading the reviews, we figured we could make the hotel work if we brought our own cleaning supplies and bedding. We had to clean the room because it was really dirty. The refrigerator was super clean and the tub seemed fine, but the floor, walls, sheets, everything had a layer of something on it. It was better after cleaning, though I wish I’d brought a Swiffer or mop pad. We ended up keeping our shoes on. The staff were very nice, the location is AMAZING, and getting an Uber to Epic Universe was easy. Our dog did really well. There’s a sidewalk out back that I felt okay walking on, though I had my husband come with me just in case. The hall and stairwell smelled really bad. I wondered if our room or hall was worse because we had a pet, or if there are better sections. I wouldn’t bring kids or an elderly person here. If you’re a young group aged 18-23 with girls, I wouldn’t stay either. It didn’t feel very safe. Police came twice during our three-day trip, and I’d walk in groups if you do stay. I’d also avoid the lobby. There was almost always someone yelling at the staff. If you’re 25-35 and willing to rough it a bit to save money, you can make it work, especially if you’ll mostly be at the theme parks. All said and done, we had an okay trip.

Sharonda Bell made a great impression on my first visit to this hotel. I had only stopped in to ask about pricing, but she was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful throughout the conversation. Her customer service stood out and made me feel comfortable choosing the property. I appreciate how much effort she put into helping me.
