The staff were responsive when I reported problems. A repair engineer came right away, and they moved me quickly to another king room, though the shower there had a similar odor coming from the drain. The on-site Starbucks is handy, as is the small 24-hour gym with two or three treadmills, free weights, and two benches. For hospitality, I’d give the staff 4 out of 5. I stayed at the SpringHill Suites Orlando across from SeaWorld in 3/2026. The hotel was built around 2009; the lobby has had some upgrades, but the rooms need major work. The showers and plumbing seem to need attention, with an odor coming up from the drains. If you expect a 4.5-star Marriott experience, this isn’t it. I’d rate the property closer to 2 out of 5. A prepaid five-day stay isn’t refundable for the remaining nights if you leave early, which was frustrating after the room issues. There’s also daily parking, though that’s common for Orlando hotels and resorts. This is a franchised-owner property rather than corporate standards, and heavy traffic seems to have worn the rooms down. The location by SeaWorld and the parks is great, and it may be okay for a budget stay, but the rooms need serious updates.

The staff really stood out. They were friendly and helpful, and brought extra blankets for my family in under five minutes. The room was very clean, and the location is a big plus for visiting the parks. The water pressure could use attention since we were on the top floor, and the bathtub repair was quite noticeable. I’d definitely recommend it.

Good price and a great location, but the internet was basically dial-up. They advertise high speed, and I believe that should mean at least 25 mps, yet I couldn’t get work done or stream anything. What’s the point? The AC fan doesn’t stay on, so hallway noise kept me from sleeping. The dumpsters also get emptied at 4 am.

Customer service was the best part. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and after we came back to our messy room, they’d tidied it so well and arranged our kids’ stuffies on the decorated bed. We have five kids and hadn’t expected room service while we were out. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and there are awesome amusement parks all around. Can’t say enough good about the staff!

Thin walls and check-in lines 45 people deep made this a terrible stay. The hotel is clean, but management was rough, the manager was rude, and the strict rules made no sense. If you’re used to staying at Marriotts or Hiltons, expect a completely different experience. These properties are privately owned by Darden, which mainly owns chain restaurants. This is the worst Marriott I’ve stayed at. There’s a Towneplace Suites three hotels down that’s much better. Good luck if you stay here.
