Garnet Inn & Suites, Orlando

We were there for five nights, and the hygiene problems made it hard for my family to feel safe or comfortable. On the first night I found a cockroach in the shower, then two more the next day. By day four, there was another one in the kitchen near our food, so I threw out all the groceries we’d brought. I have photos and videos documenting what happened. I reported the insects three times, but maintenance came only once. The front desk said nothing could be done at the time and that I’d have to wait until the following day. We couldn’t rest properly, and we stopped eating the hotel breakfast because of hygiene concerns. The service and conditions didn’t meet what I expected from a property in this category. I’m requesting a full refund for all five nights because the cleanliness, quality, and safety fell below what guests should be able to expect. Please provide a prompt, appropriate resolution. I can share the photos and videos if requested.

The room they first put me in had two men in it, and I’m a woman. I’d booked online through a site that came up as bposhtels. The room smelled old, musty, and dirty, and had dorm style bunks. The guys seemed homeless. I went back to the desk and got moved in with a sweet lady, since I had no way to go somewhere else. The fixtures are old and worn, and the place needs upgrades. Breakfast was poor too: waffles, muffins, stale cereal, and coffee that wasn’t even hot, with no protein like eggs or sausage. I won’t come back and definitely don’t recommend it. Sorry, not sorry. Do better, y’all are making money.

The location works, and the older lady on staff was really nice. Still, the hotel was filthy. My room had mold, and it took about an hour just to get in. The toilet tank had no water, but I’m handy and fixed it myself. They had to replace my key twice, and the door stayed open for around two hours. Luckily, I had friends next door, so I left my belongings with them instead of in the room. The towels were dirty too, and there were roaches around, so keep an eye out.

A family member had registered to stay three days, but his door key stopped working. His belongings were removed and never returned. The manager was rude and aggressive, and they say he checked out with his things. That doesn’t add up. Why would he check out while still holding a key card he couldn’t use to get into his room? He would have had to return the card at checkout.
