Hilton Grand Vacations Club SeaWorld® Orlando

We’ve only just checked in, but the pool was a great way to recover from a long travel day. It was refreshing, the water was warm, there were plenty of seats, and towels were easy to find. The bellman was very helpful with our luggage and groceries and brought everything right to the room. Our king suite is lovely, roomy, and well suited to a family. We especially like the balcony. The main problem so far is the air conditioning, which won’t go below 72 degrees. That’s warm for us northerners, especially at night. At home we keep it around 68 when relaxing and cooler for sleeping. The bedroom ceiling fan helps, but only so much when the air is warm. We’re here for a full week, so we hope we can adjust to it.

We stayed for two nights in August and paid over $800 for a room that was $185 a night. My wife had been told by the reservation desk that we were booking with Hilton. We were charged the wrong price right away, but when we called back, they said there would be no refund and that this was the price. They then said they weren’t Hilton, but a third-party company. We contacted Hilton directly. They rebooked the room and said the other company would refund us. It’s now March, and there’s still no refund or help. The only offer was to pay for another room and get an upgrade. Janna, the reservation manager, was no help at all. They keep blaming other people for the problem. I asked for several ways to resolve it, including paying for one night and sitting through a timeshare sales pitch for a discount. I’ll never stay at a Hilton again unless this gets fixed. There are plenty of Orlando hotels with much better customer service.

The food, drinks, music, and atmosphere were all great. I still have pictures and videos because I enjoyed the place that much. I know three people who booked after me and loved it too. My one big complaint is the membership pitch. They tried to get us to join, and then the four-day, three-night stay we paid $250 for never came through. We also had trouble at their marketplace down the road. So be careful if you’re offered a timeshare deal. Apart from that, it was an awesome place, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Our three-bedroom, three-bath unit was huge, with a kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, and two balconies. It was bigger than our house. The beds and couch were the letdown, both very hard and uncomfortable. We thought the desk, market, and pool staff were great, and the valet team could give you a ride around the property by golf cart if needed. There was a handy schedule of activities on different days, plus good discounts for nearby restaurants and shopping. If you stayed in, Coral Reef pool bar and grill was a nice option. The Reef Salad was delicious, and they also had burgers, chicken, pizza, and other choices, along with some tasty cocktails. Poolside trivia was fun. The resort is about five minutes from SeaWorld and Aquatica, ten from Universal, and around 15-20 from Disney. We love HGV and this property’s amenities and location, and recommend it.
