Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport

The one real advantage is being right at the airport, which is ideal for an early departure or late arrival. That's it, though. We stayed twice, before and after a cruise, and ran into too many problems. The hotel feels rundown, with things not working. On the first visit someone charged a meal to our room, and we had to go to McCoys to sort it out. Our room had a broken light, a fan that wouldn't turn off, and a runway view where planes taking off were quite loud. The second time we faced the terminal and it was noisy too. They overcharged us $75 for that second stay. Customer service and the hotel told me to call the credit card company. The staff member said it was for “incidentals,” though I've never had a hotel add incidentals after checkout when they're included in the total. The front desk staff didn't speak English well, and the business center computer monitors wouldn't turn on, showing an error that said there wasn't enough power. I won't stay here again.

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean and well stocked. The location inside Orlando International is great. I docked a star because the hallways are dated and could use remodeling. My room faced the terminal, so I heard airport announcements through the night. I guess that's the trade-off for staying inside the airport.

The value for the money here is unmatched. This was a perfect one-night stop before our Disney cruise, and we'll definitely return. The location is A+, less than a 2 minute walk from the room to TSA at MCO. The front desk knew the Disney cruise transfer process well, which eased our nerves as first-time Disney cruisers. The room was excellent. I forgot to reserve a crib, but one arrived quickly, along with travel-size baby shampoo and baby lotion, a really nice touch. On the 6th floor there's a lovely garden walk with the biggest monstera plant I've ever seen. As an AV geek, I loved the prime views of the main runways at MCO from the pool deck or Hemispheres restaurant. The restaurant was excellent, though pricey. I've given hotels five stars before, but wish I could give this one more.

Very convenient and not too expensive, with a nice bar. We didn't eat at the restaurant. If you've got an early flight, this is a great option. Self parking is available for a short trip.
