Hyatt Regency Orlando

Management's responsiveness, professionalism, and patience with guests are the main reason I'm giving five stars instead of four. They were understanding and accommodating when problems came up, which I sincerely appreciated. After a very long drive, two bellmen weren't very helpful. One told me to take my luggage to the room myself, and another let our things drag off the luggage cart. As a Hyatt Explorist who has stayed at other Hyatt Regency hotels, I wasn't used to that. Maybe guests at this hotel usually carry their own luggage, but I assumed a four-star Hyatt Regency would offer the service when bellmen are there and available. I liked the spa. The facial holiday special was nice, the setting soothing, and the secluded outdoor whirlpool area and lounge with adult coloring books and refreshments were lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. There's a steam room but no sauna. The outdoor pool with its waterfall and water slide was nice, too. The studio suite with 2 queen beds had a refreshing feel and an amazing view, worth using my Hyatt points for. The food options didn't suit me. The Italian and sushi restaurants only open for dinner, and it'd be nice to have them available for other meals. The Regency Club lounge also applied its policy inconsistently: on the first day three adults were allowed in, but the next day they said only 2 adults and 2 kids could enter without an extra $15. Management was helpful about that as well.

Dalina made our 3-day stay feel so welcoming, with thoughtful service and a bright smile. We arrived early and she kindly arranged for us to check in ahead of time. We used a Goh award and were delighted to get a suite upgrade, such a lucky treat! The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel is very convenient for Universal Studios. Having a shuttle right from the lobby made getting there easy. We loved the stay and will remember it fondly.

I've spent a week here at a time for conferences over the past few years, and it's convenient having the conference in the same building. The elevators are fast, even during busy conference days, with no long waits. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and generally in good shape. Housekeeping was courteous and came early each morning, which helped when I needed to spend that day working in the room. They were busy all day and into the evening, but my room was serviced daily. The bed was clean with starched sheets, and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for a week-long stay. Outlets were fine for charging. The bathroom was nice, and I liked the clock in the mirror. The TV's Google Chromecast worked for streaming, though Hulu didn't do well, but that's Hulu. The nearby dining options were okay but very expensive, like a $9 ice cream bar. Convenience is nice, but I found some good alternatives within walking distance. There's also a covered app ride pickup and drop-off area, set away from the flow of guests arriving and leaving, which is handy for frequent rides to nearby places.

The conference rooms were clean and spacious, and the bathrooms were kept very clean. I liked popping into “the market” for coffee and a snack. The parking garage is close, though it cost $45 a day. I also appreciated the elevated breeze walk to the OCCC. I was here for a conference.
