TownePlace Suites by Marriott® Orlando Near Universal

The hotel is close to Universal, which was a plus. I stayed in December 2025, and the rooms, service, and breakfast were all great. The room cleaning staff were especially nice and attentive. The only downside was paying $36 a night for parking, since the hotel doesn’t own the lot. It’s a very nice place, and I’d come back.

Kaylee at the front desk made my stay at TownePlace Suites especially easy. I asked for a first floor room, and she was very accommodating and handled everything smoothly. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. It means a lot when someone makes an effort to help you feel comfortable. Thanks, Kaylee!

After a long journey, we got to the hotel at 2 AM and found out one of our friends’ rooms had been given away. They proposed putting four adults in a room intended for two, with one person sleeping on a wooden, table-like setup. In my room, the sofa was also completely unsuitable. We had to spread three blankets over it just to make it feel somewhat bed-like. It was a deeply disappointing and unprofessional way to treat guests who had booked and paid for the rooms months earlier.

I rarely complain or leave a bad review, but the shower was bad enough that I had to mention it. There was no hot water, and nobody was onsite to help. I had to leave it running on the hottest setting for 15 minutes before it got lukewarm enough for me to use. If the hot water stopped completely, it sounds like it could take a while for anyone to come fix it. The showerhead had mineral buildup and sprayed in odd directions on some settings, and the water pressure was terrible, even on the 7th floor. There was also mold and water damage where the shower floor met the wall. The owner needs to remodel the bathrooms soon. Maps froze, so I’d typed a lot more, but I’m not starting over.
