Travelodge by Wyndham Orlando Downtown Centroplex

The room was so disgusting. The furniture was old, the bed wobbled, and there was blood on the bathroom floor. The wood was rotted, the bathroom tiny, and I found hair in the shower. The stairs had torn, dirty carpet with stains all over. We only stayed because we live three hours away and were in town for a concert. I showed pictures to the front desk manager, who just looked at me strangely. I’d already paid, and I wasn’t asking for a comp, just trying to alert him and the staff. This place isn’t sanitary and is a liability. Please tell me where I can send the pictures. This needs to be dealt with. So gross!

We only needed an inexpensive place to sleep before a half marathon, and the room itself was clean and fine. The shower was a problem, though: we couldn't get it to turn off until we called maintenance. Even with nonsmoking rooms, the lobby and hallways reeked of smoke, so we hurried through them. We probably won't stay again.

The location was good, the staff were nice, and the bed was great. My room had a decent amount of space, though nothing about it was special. The sheets had cigarette burns, which I didn't care much about and pushed aside, but my companion was bothered. The shower was so filthy that we didn't use it. The place could use some maintenance, maybe a remodel or even fresh paint, to make it feel more comfortable. You get what you pay for, and I was relatively satisfied, emphasis on relatively. With some work, this place has potential.

We came for an event and planned to stay Friday through Sunday, but left on Saturday and went home. The hotel wasn't what we expected: old carpets, and a very old, rusty bathroom. It's in a great, convenient location, so I don't understand how Orlando allows a place like this to stay open. The online photos make it look nice, and the prices aren't cheap, but it didn't match what we found when we arrived. A bad experience, definitely not recommended.
