TRYP by Wyndham Orlando

The staff were nice, but that's about the only thing this place has going for it. It looks good until you arrive. The pool closes at 7 pm, much too early for Florida, while the other hotel's pool, just across a connecting fence, stays open until 11. Our room door stopped working and kept us out for 30 minutes. It would've been less miserable if the lobby and hallways had AC, but they don't. Half the outlets in our room were dead, someone's sock was above the bunk bed, and the AC unit kept leaking onto the floor, so we used a towel to mop it up. We also found mold in the bathroom and by the window, and the shower fixture was half off the wall. One night all the parking spots were full, and the hotel put up a sign telling people to find curb parking. Two stars feels generous.

We first stayed here in 2021, and now, five years later in 2026, the hotel hasn't aged at all. The staff are amazing and professional, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance. We stayed in both family rooms and queen and king rooms, with no issues in any of them. The family room has a bunk bed that's perfect for the whole family. You can tell the owners know how to run the business. Book here next time you're in Orlando, you won't be disappointed.

Check-out with Vivian was smooth, and I saw Jazz being polite and pleasant with other guests and staff during our stay. She was the highlight for us. When we arrived, there was water by the toilet, and we weren't sure whether it was a leak or leftover from housekeeping. Jazz immediately offered another room, switched us without hesitation, and apologized. Her customer service is so good, and you can tell she loves her work. I only wish I'd been able to give her a big hug before we left. Jazz, keep it up. We'll be back, and I'll be looking for you.

We found TRYP/LA QUINTA while driving around in January after arriving from Virginia without a reservation. We'd run into new parking charges at several local hotels we'd stayed at before and didn't want to pay one. The nightly rate here was good and comparable to what we usually pay on vacation. We stayed seven days. The hotel was stylish, clean, and well managed, with a good hot breakfast for just $12. Emily, our room attendant, made the bed and cleaned the bathroom every day. Angie and the front office ladies listened to our concerns and took care of what we needed. Cheyenne, the Asst GM, regularly asked how our stay was going. Staff and service were attentive and kept everything clean. It felt like care with a smile. My family has a reunion nearby, and their six-person suite could work well, so we'll be back. Thank you!
