Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando

Club level disappointed me. I expected more and wouldn’t use it again. Aside from that, the hotel was clean, smelled great, and had amazing staff, especially Kellie at the front desk. The main reason I’d come back is how close it is to the parks, about a seven-minute walk. We had a stroller loaded with stuff and two kids, so folding it up to take on a bus or boat would’ve been a hassle. Unlimited Express Pass and early entry made the stay even better. Thanks for a great, convenient time!

The King suite was huge, with a separate bedroom for the adults, and the pool area had water, sunblock, towels, and popsicles for the kids. There was a DJ, music, and games too. Since it’s within walking distance of CityWalk at Universal, it was easy to go between the hotel and the parks. After a long, hot day, the water taxis were a great way to relax and get between the parks quickly. We had the best time and will definitely come back. Coming from local Floridians, that says a lot!

The rooms were clean, though the sink area isn’t behind a door. If someone’s getting ready in the morning, the light and noise can bother others. There aren’t many restaurants, but the ones on offer were decent. The location is a big draw, about a 15-minute walk from City Walk, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure. There’s a water taxi too, though we didn’t like waiting for it. A great place to stay.

The service is what sets this hotel apart. Staff were responsive and knew their jobs, and things ran smoothly from valet and concierge to the restaurants. I wouldn’t call the hotel luxurious as some reviews do. The rooms are fine by American standards, but I can’t say the price is justified, since Orlando has more affordable options with similarly decent rooms. Still, you won’t regret staying here. The interior is beautiful, the breakfasts were the best I’ve had at any hotel in the USA, and it’s within walking distance of Universal Studios. Unlimited Express passes for all attractions are included too. A few downsides: the bathroom and toilet doors don’t lock or close tightly, so privacy can be an issue when traveling with a group. Cleaning seems limited to visible areas, since I found lots of traces from previous guests behind the bedside tables and dresser. There are power outlets by the bed on only one side, so you’ll need to charge your phone or other gadgets separately.
