We booked based on the five-star reviews, but walked straight back out as soon as we saw the room. It smelled like a public bathroom, was dusty, and had stains everywhere. There was no toilet paper or holder in the bathroom, and ketchup packets were left in a drawer with the coffee setup. I wouldn’t have slept under those blankets. The staff were friendly and understood why we left, and they gave us a refund. That was the one good thing. I don’t think I’d give this place another try.

We checked into the Hilton Garden Inn on February 14, 2026, and Ian put us in room 106. The room wasn’t satisfactory, and the TV showed “No Signal” on every channel. After I messaged about it, Ian came by and tried to fix it. We called again and spoke with Jackson, who was incredibly helpful. He moved us to room 223, made sure everything worked, and offered complimentary breakfast. Jackson really turned the stay around.

The manager replied quickly to my email and said we’d get a refund, which I appreciated. The young man who checked us in was kind, too, and mentioned that a renovation was coming. I love Hilton, and the staff here were kind and, in my opinion, really good. I can’t blame them for the old mattress or mediocre breakfast, that’s the company’s fault. I hope the renovation helps. We drove 5 hours and 45 minutes each way for a medical procedure. In the King Standard room, the mattress felt so old that I could feel the springs in my spine and hips. There was barely any mattress left between me and the coils, and I was in pain all night. I hadn’t had back pain the day before. I faced a long drive home with little sleep. At 5 a.m. there was no coffee ready, just decaf and tea pods in the room. I went down and waited until about 5:15 for fresh coffee to take my medication with. I mentioned the mattress to the new young man on staff that morning, politely, and he said they’d be renovating soon as well. The heated pool was too cold to be comfortable. Another couple told us they felt the same and didn’t get in either. Breakfast was just a regular continental one, nothing worth $18 per person. We wanted this to work, but this Hilton wasn’t for us.

The front desk woman answered my early check-in call very quickly with “check in is at 3,” then looked up my reservation. Breakfast was okay, but the 9 a.m. cutoff is early for me. The gym is small, has no mats, and one of its two treadmills was broken. The Peloton wasn’t connected and needed a subscription. The worst part was finding dirty socks in the room. I don’t think it had been cleaned before I arrived. The bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and pee, and I couldn’t sleep well because I felt like bugs were crawling on me. If you want a restful night, don’t book here.
