Home2 Suites by Hilton Ormond Beach Oceanfront

The hotel is right on the beach and close enough to walk to lots of activities, attractions, shops, and places to eat. It was spotless when we arrived, smelled clean, and stayed that way during our visit. The staff were great. We chose to add another night, and they went out of their way to make it work. Best hotel I've stayed at.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I booked a room for my sister and her kids. At check-in, they turned her away because she had an electronic ID on her phone instead of a physical one. It was too late to cancel, so I had to pay for that room and book another one for her and her three children that night. That wasn't great customer service. Electronic IDs are used everywhere, and since remote check-in doesn't require showing an ID, I don't understand why the phone version was a problem. Angelica at the front desk said she'd ask the manager about making an exception and would try to bend the rules. She didn't seem to follow up, though, and then told my sister they'd have to find somewhere else to stay, while still charging for the night. The manager came in the next morning and was helpful, so I've raised my review.

The balcony had spectacular views, and the beach was really clean. Our room was spotless, with a kitchenette and full-size fridge, and the friendly, accommodating staff and location were just what we needed. Everything about this stay was perfect. Highly recommend.

We would have stayed another night, but the hotel was sold out, so we carried on. I'm glad we gave it a try after our first Home2 stay, which had left us unsure about trying another. This one was a completely different experience, and the only well-rated option we could find nearby. Our ocean-view balcony was lovely and came at a very reasonable price. The room felt welcoming instead of sterile, and the lobby was immaculate. Everyone at the front desk was lovely, especially Kristy. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. The staff clearly respect and appreciate their manager. They described him as fair, understanding, and supportive of a hardworking team. He also makes sure rooms are inspected after cleaning, and you can see the difference. Breakfast was noticeably better than at the first Home2. Across three nights and three different Hiltons, the customer service was the one thing they all had in common.
