Outrigger Beach Club

The location is good, the beach is nice, and the rooms were clean and functional. It’s a quiet, concrete building with an older crowd, so there was no drama and it felt safe. It’s an old 70s hotel that hasn’t been updated. Don’t expect much from the beds or pillows. The elevator was really slow, so we used the stairs except when carrying luggage.

You can walk from the parking lot straight onto the beach, and every room faces the ocean. The pool and hot tub were warm and clean. There have been some furniture updates, and more work is underway. It’s an older place, but they keep it up well and the security is top-notch. I’ve been coming here with my family for 30 years and have never been disappointed. The front desk ladies are helpful and friendly. I hope to bring my grandkids someday and keep the tradition going. I’m thankful my Grand Parents and Mother could spend so many enjoyable weeks here.

Patrick got us checked in and was great. When we had a plumbing problem, it was dealt with and fixed quickly. Nights were quiet, though there was some construction next door during the day, and it was usually too cold to sit by the pool while we were there. The mattress wasn’t comfortable, and the bedding didn’t help. I always find it hard to sleep well away from home. It’s a great place, but the sleep comfort needs attention.

After arriving in the room, I found the kitchen floor so sticky it was hard to walk on. The bathroom shower curtain had solid stains. I’d only had two days away from my full-time live-in caregiver job, so I tried to find another place, but everything was booked. I ended up taking the room keys. I’d stood in the lobby for 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. When I asked about a balcony, since the booking website said the room had one, the front desk lady replied, “What can I say it’s false advertising?”
