Royal Floridian South by Spinnaker

We enjoyed the view, the outdoor bar when it was open, and the check-in staff, but the smaller problems added up. There were ants all over our room, and I saw a huge cockroach in the hallway slip under someone's door. The blinds in our second bedroom didn't block light from the outdoor hallway, so a blackout curtain is needed for sleeping. The pool was advertised as heated but wasn't until the night before we left. The hot tub also needs balancing, since sitting in it for more than ten minutes made us itchy. The concierge offered us a 3 night, 4 day stay on top of our free adventure if we'd sit through a timeshare pitch. That didn't happen. We weren't going to return after this, but people shouldn't be told that just to meet a quota for those meetings. The place seems geared toward older guests, and things for kids were either out of order or canceled. Calling with reservations was no use either, we were left on hold for hours. I hope this review helps them fix these issues.

We had a blast here. The beach was really close, and the sunsets were gorgeous. We left the sliding door open overnight and listened to the waves. The next day a parade of off-road vehicles went along the beach. It was very patriotic.

The beach is just steps from the pool, and the view was spectacular. Service was excellent, and the bartender was pleasant and fun. There are lots of activities during the day, with many restaurants nearby and several coffee shops within walking distance. The shower wasn't clean, though, and the bedroom was so small it had room for only one nightstand. I would stay again.

We had a great time here during Rockville weekend. There was a small hassle when we first arrived, but Corey came through and sorted it out. Our room had a fantastic beach view, and the resort has plenty of amenities. Several good restaurants are close enough to walk to.
