Sunset Inn Lake Oroville

I’ve stayed here twice on my way to the Quincy area and plan to return soon for another business trip. The room was recently upgraded, very clean, and had clean furniture. It’s a good price for a clean place to sleep, and probably the cleanest in the area. I’m giving the room four stars because it isn’t luxury accommodation, though it’s still very nice.

It’s a reasonable stay for the price, though the older building could use an upgrade. I came back and found the pool nice and clean, and relaxing to spend time by. I also got some beautiful sunset pictures.

The place wasn’t very clean, and there was a huge cockroach in the bathtub.

The woman at the front desk was awesome, especially when she agreed to change our reservation. She definitely doesn’t get paid enough for the help she gave us. The room, though, was quite dirty and smelled bad. There was mystery hair on the sheets and what looked like ashes in the tub, which the front desk cleaned out after we asked. The bed blocked the AC, so the room stayed hot except right by the bed. We also found several dead cockroaches, which made it hard to sleep. The owners seem to have a Tesla, and it’s pretty obvious where their priorities are.
