Hickory Bridge Farm Restaurant

The historic building is incredible, with all those hand-hewn timbers to look at, and be sure to stop by the gift shop. This is one of my all-time favorite places to eat. The food is wonderful, home-cooked, and served family style in generous portions. They've been around for decades and are still just as good as ever. And that's good!

Our kids especially look forward to the crab imperial, and everything on the family-style menu is delicious. Behind the restaurant, there's a neat general store that feels like stepping back in time. The folksy, comfortable ambience and the always nice, accommodating servers are part of why we keep coming back. The owners, Mary Lynn and her son Bert, are gracious and make sure we have an awesome experience. We've been visiting Hickory Bridge Farm for over 25 years, for Mother's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, or whenever we feel like it. It's about a 45-minute drive one way, and always worth it. We were there just a few days ago on New Year's Eve, and it did not disappoint, as always. We've been dozens of times, and you won't be disappointed.

The food comes family style, with a good variety, and we especially loved the crab imperial. There was chicken, BBQ brisket, roasted potatoes, stuffing, and more. Our extended family had dinner the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the atmosphere was great. The service was excellent, and it made for an enjoyable evening.

The meal was served hot and fresh, and everyone at our wedding rehearsal dinner raved about it, especially the desserts. We had a reservation for a large party of almost 30, and the ladies waiting on us made sure we were taken care of. After dinner, the owner opened the General Store so I could show some family members around. It feels like a small museum of what life was like in the area, and she told us a lot about the B&B and the area. Great food and service, and we love dining family style. The only issue is that I tend to eat too much.
