UNDER NEW MANAGMENT!!! I've seen the negative reviews, but people should give this place another try. I've been here a little over a week, and the new management is working hard to fix past mistakes. The young couple running it are both very nice and work from early morning until well after sundown. It's a two-person team, and they're working hard to make this place a gem again. I'd always recommend it to anyone travelling here.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, YOU WILL BE SAD IF YOU DO. The place was trash and felt unsafe. The doors wouldn't shut properly or lock, there was broken glass, and it smelled like mildew and garbage. The room we were catfished into lasted about one minute before I had the worst gut feeling that we wouldn't be safe. Management said they'd process a refund, but now they're refusing to. The bad reviews are all over every platform, trust them. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

The front desk office stayed closed all morning, so I couldn't get anyone to help. At about 6 am, I tried to leave for coffee and the door handle came right off. I was trapped in the room for ten minutes until it clicked back into place long enough for me to open the door. This was a last minute choice because the lake was full all weekend. One of the worst hotels I’ve slept in.

I left two days early and got no refund for the nights I didn't use. The place was run down: the window was cracked and held together with tape, and the door looked like it had been kicked in, with screws in the frame as if someone had tried to patch it back together. I wouldn't recommend it.

The people running it were friendly, and the pool was nice. The bed was okay, but the rooms feel stuck in the 70s with an attempt at a 90s update. There was no coffee, the fridge was so noisy I unplugged it for the night, and I saw two roaches in the bathroom. If you just need somewhere cheap and quick, maybe. I dropped in on a whim, but if you can afford a few extra bucks, I'd stay somewhere else.
