The lake view from our top-floor two-bedroom was stunning, and it was quiet and had everything my teen son and I needed. We borrowed a fishing pole and used the nice fishing dock, then borrowed the game Sequence and had a lot of fun with it. The property and hosts were wonderful and clearly take great care of the place. Even the trash houses where you take your rubbish were immaculate, which says a lot about their attention to detail. We loved our week here and hope to come back. And yes, we used the stairs.

The jacuzzi service was right on time, and the customer care was great. The spot is far enough from the crowds to feel peaceful but still close enough to get to everything quickly. The fishing pier fills up fast, so it’s worth picking out a couple of other places you’d be happy to fish. I’d gladly come back.

My room was neat and clean, with everything I needed for a nice stay, and it was very quiet during the off-season. I’d been told there weren’t any Lakeview rooms available, but if mine wasn’t Lake view, I don’t know what was. The view was beautiful. It was my first time at Lake of the Ozarks. I enjoy visiting new places through Wyndham. Since you’re paying for the timeshare already, it gives you a reason to travel instead of letting that money go to waste, and I like taking different parts of my family to different parts of the country. When people call to ask if I want to get out of my timeshare, I tell them no.

The view of the lake was great, and the unit had a nice kitchen if you want to cook. There were also plenty of restaurants for eating out. We knew before arriving that the elevators were being updated. The weather was uncooperative, with rain on and off for most of the weekend.

The view from our balcony was beautiful, and it was fun watching all the activity on the lake, brown water aside. The pool was lovely, the landscaping was well maintained, and the property was quiet on the weekdays I stayed. Stephanie was fantastic at checkout, with timely, professional communication. My check-in, though, was a bit of a disaster. The elevators weren’t working during high season, and although the 70-plus-year-olds with me could handle the four flights to our room on the fourth floor, I worry about other guests. If you need handicap accessibility, this may not be the right property, so call ahead to clarify what accommodation you need, want, or prefer. The ice machine in our room was slow and made only a small amount of ice, and there wasn’t a working machine elsewhere on the property.
