Hampton Inn Suffolk

The rooms felt modern, clean, and nice. It was handy having breakfast included, plus fresh coffee was available during the day and evening. The location worked well for us, with an easy connection to Route 460, a shopping plaza with fast food across the street, and downtown Suffolk nearby.

Breakfast hours were convenient, and the breakfast bar had plenty of equipment. The room was clean and had no unpleasant smells. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location felt safe and secure. There’s also a pool and fitness area, though I didn’t use either on this trip.

Amber made check-in quick and pleasant. I was glad to get two bottles of water right then, after flying in and driving from the airport. My room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom had plenty of towels plus full-size pumps of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and shower gel. There’s a Dollar Tree next door, handy if you forgot something like I did with my hairbrush, and restaurants are close by. Google Maps got me there easily just off the exit. The rate was higher than usual, but all the hotels were more expensive during the music festival in town.

Amanda was welcoming and easy to talk to, and the place was quiet with good parking, an indoor pool, a business area, and breakfast. The sausage was just okay. I wish breakfast had better choices, like bacon or waffles. There were a few cosmetic marks on the bedding that might have needed a better wash, though it was mostly clean and worked for our family. It’s in a nice area near restaurants, gas stations, a hospital, and other things you need. I don’t really have complaints. I’d recommend staying here and would come back.
