The desk woman was nice, and checkout was easy. Our room floor had little glass shards that only showed up sparkling in my flashlight. After poking around four times, I had to put my shoes back on. The first floor was noisy. We waited over an hour for the airport shuttle, an SUV, and that driver was rude, sped along with the music blasting, and nearly hit another car. The morning driver was nice.

For an unexpected overnight near JFK, I'd choose this place again. The shuttle was quick and helped with bags, reception was friendly, check-in was fast, and breakfast was well laid out with enough seating. Rooms were very clean and nicely presented, though small. It may not be the cheapest, and rooms near the freeway can be a bit noisy. There's a lot of turnover, so the decor is somewhat worn, but the location and efficient service make up for it.

After our flight was cancelled at around 3 AM, we were desperate for a room after about nine hours at the airport. Sleep Inn came through: they had one room and held it while we made our way over. Prices seemed average, maybe a little low for the area, and the clean room was a pleasant surprise. The staff felt like a small, close-knit team and were very friendly. Breakfast was better than at many other hotels. The rooms aren't large, but they're just right for one or two people. Thin walls were my only complaint. They offer shuttles and were very accommodating, which made a horrible airport experience tolerable. I'd recommend it if you want a simple, clean room by JFK. Thanks again.

He was so friendly and kind, even though I hadn't told him we'd spent six hours sitting on a plane that never took off. He arranged a pickup shuttle, and it arrived within five minutes. In the morning, our ride back to the airport was already ready, with no wait. We won't forget how memorable he made our stay.
