Western Inn & Suites

The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the location suited my needs. The service gets zero stars. A week before my stay, I called and explained that, because of work, I needed a room from about 2 am until 5 pm. I was told that was fine and given a price. At check-in I repeated the hours to the same person, possibly the owner, at least three times, and was told it was still fine. Housekeeping woke me at 11. I explained what I'd been told, then got a call from the front desk saying he'd never approved it. I still can't tell if this was dishonesty or a language barrier. When I checked out, I was charged more than the agreed price, so I'm assuming the problem was dishonesty. I'll drive farther next time to make sure I'm understood.

Get every detail in writing. I discussed my room needs with the hotel a week before my stay and was quoted a price, then went over the needs again when I arrived and got agreement. They honored neither the arrangement nor the price. At first I thought there might have been a language barrier, but after being overcharged, I decided the establishment had lied.

Filthy bathrooms, stains, and actual feces on the toilet seat when I arrived. There were no window screens or locks. I cancelled after one night and moved to another hotel, Americinn, but they refused to refund me even under their policy. Terrible place and terrible customer service.

I asked for my receipt to be emailed, but because of a language barrier, he spelled Washington wrong. I called back to confirm the address and found out what happened. I spelled it out clearly, but still never got the email. Then I asked if he could take a photo of the receipt and text it to me. He said he was sure the problem was on my end, as if my email wasn't working. I tried to explain that I'd received several emails that day, but he hung up before I could finish. I wasn't rude or raising my voice. For a business that depends on customer satisfaction, having someone this rude at the front desk is inexcusable. I called back to ask his name. He said Mick. When I asked how to spell it, he asked why. I told him he'd hung up on me and I planned to file a report, and he hung up again.
