The desk clerk was attentive and accommodating, and made sure we felt secure and comfortable. I’d recommend it if you need a place to sleep before continuing a vacation trip.

I really enjoyed the weekend, especially being able to leave the car and walk to downtown and the business district. I stayed in May 2024. From the street the place might look like a dump, but I was satisfied with my night. The room was very small but clean, with no bed bugs. It had a mini fridge and microwave, though I didn’t use the microwave. The long term residents were friendly during the day and quiet late on a Friday. If you’re not picky and just want a clean place to rest with easy access to downtown, Town Motel works.

I rented a room at Town Motel for two nights while in Oshkosh for a family wedding the weekend of October 26th. It was a huge mistake, and I’d give it no stars. I’d called ahead to request a handicapped room, but when I checked in, they put me in Room 43. None of the rooms are handicapped. The heat didn’t work, so I moved to Room 45, where the light switch was behind the open door. The door caught on the rug and was heavy, and there was no way to turn the bedside lamp on or off. My walker couldn’t fit through the bathroom door, and there were no shower bars, so I couldn’t shower before the wedding. The pull string by the sink was too short to turn on the light, and there wasn’t even a cup for brushing my teeth. The driveway had broken pieces of cement, so I had to be extra careful not to fall. In the morning, I couldn’t even get a glass of ice. I saw no inspection sign in the room. Their no refund policy seems stupid, though I don’t care that I didn’t get a refund. At least I didn’t have to stay Saturday night, since I made other arrangements.

I didn’t realize visitors weren’t allowed until my brother came to see me and I was kicked out. The rules about visitors hadn’t been made clear to me, and I hadn’t realized I signed that agreement. I also waited more than 10 days for my refund. He only charged me for one day, but it was an expensive day. Read carefully.
