Marvin and Tracy were so kind to us as visitors from abroad, and the welcome made our time in Ottumwa a special memory. The rooms were beautifully arranged, the garden was lovely, and breakfast was delicious. I also loved the excellent amenities, though choosing a drink was tough, and the quality shampoo and body soap made showers pleasant. Everything about the interior was wonderful; I’d love to know how they put it together. The hospitality here is something I haven’t found even at luxury hotels. We were lucky to stay at this B&B, and I highly recommend it for a visit to Ottumwa.

The hosts were exceptional, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and roomy, and the backyard with its koi pond was beautiful. I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else in Ottumwa!

Oak Meadow’s 14 years of experience show in all the thoughtful details. Even with the spacious home full of places for guests to relax together or keep to themselves, it felt comfortable and immaculately clean, and every inch looked brand new. The bed and furnishings were wonderfully comfortable. Coffee, drinks, and snacks were available anytime in the shared space, and breakfast was tailored to each guest and served in a luxurious but relaxed way. The price compared well with local hotels offering much less, based on my experience, and was below what one historic hotel quoted us despite its lower quality reviews. We’re so glad we found Oak Meadow. When we return to Ottumwa, there’s no question where we’ll stay. Thanks for such a comfortable, relaxing visit.
