Steve and Nova were wonderful hosts, and the hotel was fantastic. We stayed in both the Box Canyon and Aspen suites, and liked them both. The views were great, and shopping and food were just a short walk down main street. We were traveling across the country with a cat and a snake, and had no problems bringing them along. Just mention pets ahead of time. The pet fee is quite reasonable, and they may ask to meet your animals. They were very excited to meet our snake :) This was one of my best travel experiences ever. I wish I could give it more than a perfect score, and we’ll make a trip back in the future.

We took a quick weekend trip to Ouray Colorado on 1/10/2026 and brought our dog. With so many last minute lodging options, my husband chose the Ouray Main Street Inn, and we weren’t sure what to expect. We were blown away by the sincere, generous hospitality and only wished we could stay longer. The room felt like home: cozy but surprisingly spacious. The office wasn’t staffed in person when we arrived, but the check-in instructions were clear. Whenever we called the number they provided, we got a prompt, informative, friendly response. We’ve never felt so welcomed at a place with our large dog. He’s a pretty good boy, of course, but dog owners know nobody loves your dog quite like you do. At other lodgings, it can feel like pets are only tolerated with a list of conditions, because some people won’t travel without them. Here, our dog felt fully accepted as part of our group. There was a welcome tray with treats for people and pets, plus towels set aside for dog use, the hot springs, and regular showers. The Inn understands that people traveling with pets and going on mountain adventures may need extra towels. They plan for that and make it easy to use the place comfortably, instead of making guests feel bad about normal use of the space. To me, the Ouray Main Street Inn is thoughtful, compassionate, and considerate.

The Box Canyon King Suite felt like home, and the hosts thought of every amenity and comfort. The views were stunning, and we had a bear visit overnight. We were safe inside, but he left evidence in the yard. We brought our cat and dog, and made full use of the large gated deck leading to a shared area with a bbq, recreation space, or dog area. Everything was within walking distance from this centrally located place. It was our first time in Ouray, and thanks to the hosts’ kindness and hospitality, we’re turning it into an annual trip. Thank you, Scott and Nova, for making this the best vacation we’ve ever had. The owners were excellent hosts, and the suite was adorable.

Right on mainstreet, this adorable inn made it easy to walk to local shops and food. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and checkout were convenient, and the kitchenette had tasty ground coffee, mugs, and wash rags for other dishes. After a chilly day outside, the hot water felt great. The owner also let us keep our bikes in the patio area. The complimentary banana bread was amazing. I need that recipe!

We had a fantastic stay and are already thinking about coming back. The inn is adorable, with a cozy B&B feel, though there’s no breakfast. Our room was charming and had great amenities, including ground coffee and an ice tray ready in the freezer. They also keep towels for the hot springs and dirty boots or gear separate from the bath towels.
