The new flooring looks nice, but there’s a lot that needs attention. The A/C unit was damaged, and the bed frame squeaked and should be replaced. The bathroom had been remodeled, though the door was rotting and the trim had just been painted over. The towel hanger and shower curtain rod were old, the tub had been painted in the middle, and the fixtures were covered in hard-water buildup. Hot and cold were reversed. The old popcorn-textured ceiling had stains and needs redoing.

For what you pay, you get what you get, and the owners know it. It’s cheaper than comparable hotels, though not actually cheap. The rooms look like they’re from the 80s, finding the light switches is a search, you only get local digital channels, and there’s no Wi-Fi. Breakfast is cereal and one of those little pancake makers, with no eggs, meat, biscuits, or gravy. I have no idea why it’s listed with Wyndham.

Maybe you have a weekly rate, but you also have bedbugs in your room. It’s disgusting that the rooms aren’t checked to make sure they’re free of them. I have bites all over my legs.

The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. The floors were dirty and peeling up, and the walls were dirty too. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and the tub still had hair in it. It all looked kind of nasty.
