The Palms Hotel Fire Island

I’ve been going to Fire Island for years and somehow only just found this place. Such a gem, I loved it! The owner is so sweet and helpful, and they put out freshly made hot cookies and champagne from 2- every day. There are beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and wagons available too. Pat at the front desk is the sweetest. You won’t be disappointed staying here!! 😊

We had such a good time celebrating our 50th birthdays at The Palms on Fire Island, in Coral Cottage. There were six of us, all girlfriends, and from the minute we arrived, the staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make the stay special. The shops and restaurants were just steps away, so we could wander and eat without worrying about transportation. The beach was easy too, with everything we needed close at hand. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful details throughout. The 2 PM toast and cookies became a favorite little tradition each day, and made us feel right at home. The whole trip was relaxing and fun, and we came away with wonderful memories. We’re already talking about coming back. A lovely spot to celebrate or recharge on Fire Island.

The location is hard to beat, right in the middle of town and about a two minute walk from the ferry. The staff were so nice and attentive again on this stay. They provide everything you need for the beach, including towels, chairs, and an umbrella, so you can travel light. They even bring out a beach cart and take care of everything short of walking it to the beach for you. Another amazing visit, and I’ll definitely be back next year.

I booked this last minute for a getaway with my two boys, and it turned out to be spectacular. We’d never been to Fire Island before, but the staff at The Palms made the stay wonderful. Warm chocolate chip cookies were waiting when we arrived, which felt so welcoming. Our room was in a perfect spot, with beautiful views and a playground across the way. The hotel also provides bikes and has a private beach on the bay with toys and kayaks. We’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our little getaway so special.
