Rose Hotel Bronx

I had to leave that same night because the smoke was setting off my asthma. When I complained, they offered another room that smelled of smoke too, then sprayed air freshener. Seeing the air freshener in the photos made it seem like this is a recurring problem. The whole facility smelled strongly, with cigarette smoke, marijuana, and food odors in the hallways, and it didn't feel clean. The room wasn't very clean either. Outside, the parking lot was cramped and dirty, with trash around the property. I wouldn't recommend the Rose Hotel. For a similar price, the AC Hotel in Midtown is a cleaner option with better service.

The woman at reception was lovely, and the place was cleaner, roomier, and had a much bigger flat-screen TV than I expected. My brother and I were wiped out after a 19-hour flight, so we paid 60.00 to crash there for three hours.

The lobby and rooms were spotless and well kept, and that attention to detail made the stay feel comfortable and refreshing. I had a great time at Rose Hotel and would return or recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, dependable place to stay.

We tried to get a partial refund through Expedia after dealing with these problems for a few days, and I did get one. They tried repeatedly to reach management and couldn't. I'd tell people not to stay here. The online pictures and reviews looked okay, but after seeing the property, some reviews seemed fake or AI-written. One mentioned breakfast, though they only have vending machines, and the room and exterior photos may be edited. There was trash and people sleeping outside, and our room was very dirty and needed a deep clean. The walls and floors had dirt and stains, there was a footprint on the mirror, and a flat sheet used as a mattress cover kept slipping off. The sheets, blanket, and pillows had burn holes and stains. Outside our window was trash and an obviously used diaper; in the hall there was a cigar on the floor. Doors slammed and people yelled all night. Cigarette, weed, and urine smells kept coming from somewhere. We also heard a sexual encounter in the next room. After seeing the hourly rates, we could guess what many people use the hotel for. Room service never came in the seven days we stayed.
