The entrance is small, and parking along the busy road is difficult, but check-in was fast and there are seats to wait. The rooms have been renovated and are a decent size. It’s very conveniently located within walking distance of big shops like hm, gap, primark, shoppers, and coffee shops. They offer raincoats, which came in handy on a rainy day when I’d forgotten my umbrella. Water costs 3 unless you’re a member. I’d recommend it.

Ruth at the front desk made check-in one of the best I’ve had across hundreds of hotel stays. I was traveling with products that needed freezing and asked if she could help. She took care of it right away and made it feel easy, with a positive and helpful attitude. Her smile, kindness, and professionalism set a great tone for my stay. That kind of service is rare, and Ruth deserves recognition. She represents the Hilton brand at its best.

We stayed two nights midweek. The room was nice, and the front desk clerks were very pleasant and helpful when we asked for suggestions. We also ate at the restaurant one evening, and both the food and service were good.

The location is the one real plus here. Our stay itself felt disappointing from the start. When we asked the concierge for nearby recommendations at check-in, he just looked at us and passed over a card without saying anything. We already felt like we were interrupting the front desk and concierge when we walked in, and that exchange didn’t help. We had another awkward interaction trying to get more body lotion. Housekeeping told us to ask the front desk. After taking care of it, the staff member turned back to her computer without saying whether she was done or asking if we needed anything else. We felt like a nuisance again. The $35 credit was confusing too, and seemed set up to encourage spending at the hotel. The building feels old, and toiletries were very limited. For a Hilton, we expected more. I wouldn’t stay at this location again.
