Holiday Inn Express & Suites Owings Mills-Baltimore Area by IHG

I stayed at the Owings Mills location several times in January. Some staff were kind and professional, but cleanliness and management were unacceptable. After booking and staying once, I booked again. Someone else had stayed in the same room before I returned, yet the bedding was unchanged, with the same stains still on the bed. See the attached picture for the full review, as it was too long to type here. Don't stay if you'd be uncomfortable sleeping on bedding strangers have used, or if you're worried about a breakout or catching the flu during flu season.

The rooms had the newest upgrades, the pool was clean, and breakfast was good. There was a spot for a pancake maker, but no machine like I've seen at other locations, just an FYI since some people like them, though I don't personally. The staff were very nice. You have to request service, which I'd never had to do before, but I liked not feeling I had to put things away so they could make the bed and such.

The pool was closed while I was there, and getting fresh towels each day was difficult because they often ran out. Rooms are cleaned only every five days unless you request service, so guests should know that. The place was clean and pleasant, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more enjoyable. I'd recommend this hotel in Owings Mills for the cleanliness, breakfast, and great service.

What a dump. We didn't get housekeeping once in three days, even though I asked every day. The sheets were dirty, and towels and toilet paper were missing, so we were left with tissues. Trash lined the hallways like it was garbage pickup day. Guests smoked weed in this non-smoking hotel and staff didn't seem to care. The coffee was gone after 20 minutes at breakfast, so too bad if you missed it. Management promised to follow up and I'm still waiting. Holiday Inn Express should be embarrassed to put its name on this disaster.
