La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oxford

The lobby was huge, with lots of places to sit and hang out, plus a pool table and arcade. Breakfast was more than enough: eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, bakery items, and even Pop-Tarts, which I've never seen at a hotel. We had a spacious, very clean king room with a comfortable bed. Don't shy away from this place. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the Oxford area.

The room was nice and clean, and for the price this is probably one of the best places we've stayed in a while. The cloth shower curtain let some water leak out, and the doors were a little hard to push, but those were the only drawbacks. I can't say enough about how willing and eager the staff were to help with anything we needed. The woman who made our reservation was super nice and helpful. When we arrived, my phone had no service because of the rainstorm, so we couldn't do the pre-check-in. They'd just finished our room and let us check in a couple of minutes early without any hassle. We needed a couple of things, and they were quick to help. It was raining, so we couldn't do our mountain bike race pre-ride. Having pool tables, arcade games, and a common area where the kids could relax and hang out was great.

The lobby was inviting and nicely designed, and having a pool table was a fun extra. The beds were comfortable enough to make it easy to get a good night's sleep. A pleasant, relaxing stay.

We really liked our room and this is a great place for us when we travel between AR and FL. The pool was a complete disappointment, though. It was green with algae and unusable. I know it's been cold, but some of us enjoy cold therapy, and with it almost 70 right now I was really hoping for a dip. The other thing is breakfast only runs for 3 hours. Couldn't they vacuum at another time? Our a/c unit in room 216 wouldn't turn off, so we unplugged it. Those two issues are why I can't give 5 stars, but thanks for a great place.
