I've used the private room at The Oliver Hotel for several dinners and events, and Kingswood Restaurant has become one of my favorite places to go. We've had Angel as our server several times, and she's phenomenal. I've also worked with manager Hannah Holbrook more than once, and she's always professional, organized, and right on top of everything. The staff, atmosphere, and feel of the hotel make it one of the best spots in Oxford.

During Winter Storm Fern, The Oliver Hotel cut its rates substantially to help linemen in town working long hours to restore power. That generosity meant a lot. We also brought a large crew into the restaurant at short notice and had an outstanding meal, with top-notch food and service. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and accommodating, and the building itself is beautiful. The hidden speakeasy was a fun surprise. Thanks to the team for supporting the crews serving the community. I'd gladly recommend staying here in Oxford.

The front desk hospitality was second to none, and the town of Oxford was every bit as pleasant as the hotel. My wife and I had a fantastic stay: the rooms were spacious and well appointed, with a gorgeous bathroom featuring a claw foot tub, separate sinks, and a large shower. The location is hard to beat, just a couple of blocks from the lovely town square. There's a restaurant and Speak Easy on site, and we went down for drinks two nights in a row. Damian made handcrafted cocktails that were the best I've ever had, no lie. On future trips South, we'll always pass through Oxford. If you can, catch the Christmas parade.

Oxford is a lovely area, and the hotel is close to the main centre, with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. It was clean, well decorated, and felt very safe. The staff were lovely, parking was easy, and they paid attention to the details. One of the nicest boutique hotels I've stayed in. I'd definitely return.

The Oliver is the only place I'd stay in Oxford, MS. The food is the best, the drinks are great, and the service is impeccable. If you can't get a room there, just book an Air BnB. The other hotels around aren't worth what they charge.
