Holiday Inn Express and Suites Tomah by IHG

The hot tub has been lukewarm on my last two visits, which is a real letdown when you’re hoping for a hot soak at the end of the day. I’d like to keep staying here, so I hope maintenance can sort it out. I still enjoy the place because it’s reliably quiet and clean, the two things I care about most. Breakfast is decent too, though I’d like to see a wider choice of fruit.

I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn properties in six states, and this one turned out to be my favorite. The building looks modern and seems fairly new, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional. I’d definitely book here again. The room was clean and smelled fresh. I liked the art on the wall and the creative design on the window shade. The TV welcomed us by displaying my wife’s name while it was on standby. There was a key card entry, plus a walk-in shower with a relaxing shower head and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was really good, with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cold items, mini cheese omelets, and other choices.

Sara and Bella at the front desk were wonderful. The room was huge, with comfortable seating and a nice place to work. Breakfast had a good spread, and the bean-to-brew coffee was delicious. This may be the best hotel I’ve stayed in.

Everything at breakfast was well prepared. There wasn’t a waffle maker, but they had a pancake machine instead, so use it judiciously. We had a good stay.
