The view from every room is incredible, and you can walk to the beach easily. The rooms are gorgeous and newly remodeled, with a cozy fireplace. Staff were all super friendly. They lend out camping chairs for the beach and work with other local businesses to offer bikes, dune sleds, and put put golf. There are board games and other things to use, too. Can’t recommend it enough. We’ll be back!

We brought our dog Kai, and he felt at home from the moment we arrived. The inn had food bowls, a blanket, and treats waiting for him, and the beach was right there for him to run on the sand. There’s also a warm wash station to get the sand and salt off before heading inside, a really thoughtful detail for dog owners. The rooms were clean, modern, comfortable, and had stunning ocean views. Everything we needed for a beach weekend was there, so we didn’t have to hunt around or make extra stops. The Inn at Cape Kiwanda is well placed for enjoying Pacific City, and it made for an easy, beautiful Oregon coast weekend with the whole family. We’d absolutely stay again, Kai included, and recommend it to anyone looking for a dog-friendly trip.

We wanted two nights in a top-floor king room with an ocean view and jetted tub. On the day we were driving over, they told us they’d overbooked and our room wasn’t available. They comped us an Airstream at Harts Camp, but that wasn’t the stay we wanted. We expected a quiet, secluded room with a spacious king bed; instead, we got a cramped queen in a noisy RV park, where the lights and fan didn’t work. The bathroom felt like an airplane restroom and had no ventilation. It was free, but we still spent time and gas to spend one badly slept night there, then left early because we didn’t enjoy it. The only way I’d feel properly compensated is by getting the two nights in the top-floor king I originally booked.

Wish we’d called the front desk before booking. After reserving through the hotel website, we couldn’t get anyone to send a confirmation or, later, even a folio. It took nine attempts. The only replies were a text every 12 hours and a one-line email from Tara B days later. The exchange felt service-free and rude in several ways. At these prices, service matters, and the coast has plenty of places that are nicer, safer, and much better at looking after people. They may have upgraded recently, but $450 a night is a lot without decent service. There were nearly $50 in amenity fees on top, plus $10 to park. Paying to park after a $450 stay on the Oregon coast is a joke. I’ve been here a dozen times over the years, but won’t return after this stay. We filed a complaint against the hotel; Tara B’s story changed between forms of communication, and she couldn’t keep her numbers straight. Avoid the hassle. Check Reddit, where locals mention her by name many times.

It’s a comfortable, calming place with lovely views and easy access to the beach. The Inn at Cape Kiwanda is nice to be in, and I’d recommend it.
